National Lockdown, Tier 4 and 3 Additional Restriction Grants - open for applications
28 January 2021
Swale Borough Council has now received the guidance for the grants available to support businesses severely impacted by the national lockdown which began on the 5 January 2021.
You can apply for an Additional Restrictions Grant if:
- Your business is not registered for business rates and has been instructed to close by the restrictions implemented.
- Your business is registered for business rates, has not been instructed to close but is severely impacted by restrictions implemented.
- Your business is not registered for business rates, has not been instructed to close but is severely impacted by restrictions implemented.
The application form allows you to apply for a grant for Tier 3 and Tier 4 (the restrictions in place through December, as well for the current National Lockdown introduced from the 5/1/2021). You will need to complete a separate application form for each period of restriction.
You do not need to reapply if you have already claimed for Tier 3 or Tier 4, but you will need to make a new application for the National Lockdown (if applicable).
Businesses that previously received grants for the January lockdown period will automatically be awarded a grant for the 16 February to the 31 March 2021. We will be sending out grant offer letters via email over the coming weeks. You will be asked to confirm that your business is still affected and that all declarations still apply when accepting this grant. Please wait to receive your grant offer letter before contacting us to advise of any change in circumstances. If you do not receive your grant offer letter within the next 3 weeks, please contact us.
You can use the business support finder tool on the Swale Borough Council website to find out which funding scheme is available for you and your business:
